12 Strand Single Braid - Polyester
This high performance rope is an excellent
wire rope replacement for industrial and
utility applications. Unaffected by oil and
common chemicals, this high-strength, very
low-stretch rope is easily spliced. The D-12™
also exhibits low flex fatigue, has nearly zero
creep, and excellent abrasion resistance.
This versatile high tenacity rope offers
the lowest stretch of all polyester ropes.
The quality of construction provides
a torque-free rope, eliminating kinks
and hockles. This 12 strand single braid
provides easy and convenient in-the-field
splicing to save time while on the job. The
P-12 has a melting point between 489500° F with a loss of strength between
244-250° F.
Dyneema® is pound for pound stronger than
steel and additional protection is provided
by our Pelican Tuff™ urethane coating.
Professionally hand spliced eyes and chafe
guards are available on request. Break
strength remains constant in wet or dry
conditions making this the perfect choice for
mooring, towing lines, winch lines, yachting
lines, and commercial fishing ropes. With a
specific gravity of .98, this rope floats. It has
excellent low temperature performance with
a melting point at 300° F and loss of strength
at 150° F.

Eye Options:
Our optional Pelican Tuff™ urethane
coating penetrates the fibers providing
additional UV protection and increased
abrasion resistance. Eyes are
professionally hand-spliced at both ends
along with an optional polyester chafe
guard. This is highly recommended for
utility pulling and stringing applications,
winch lines, rope slings as well as arborist
climbing and rigging assemblies.
